Detailed description of Longwood Country Club
Longwood Country Club is a Semi-Private, 18 hole golf course located in the rolling hills of Crete, Illinois, 40 miles south of Chicago.
Longwood Country Club first opened for play in 1920
The course has sloping fairways, mature trees, and small greens. This par-70 layout plays to 6,404 yards from the back tees and 5,636 yards from the forward tees.
Blue tees: par-70, 6,404 yards, 70.5 / 123
White tees: par-70, 6,001 yards, 68.6 / 119
Red tees: par-72, 5,636 yards, 72.1 / 120
Do Not Recall (cart included), played on Sunday, January 2012 at 6am
The only thing I liked was the layout. Condition of course was not good.

We play this course because the price is good and the ambience is great. Lots of oak and maple trees. Also has a driving range and putting section. It isn't crowded so don't have to keep letting others play through. This is especially helpful as I'm still a beginning golfer.
